I happen to agree, but it doesn’t really change much about how I interact with firefox after I disable it. Have you checked out the alternatives? I remember IceWeasel at one point in Debian.

Oh I do agree there! I just don’t file forums under “social media” in the sense most people bemoan the concept.

Being creative and copying ideas are not mutually exclusive. For instance, I love the harry potter universe. I just happen to think that JK Rowling is a terrible writer. I would pay hundreds of dollars for quality fan fiction, ideally licen

I really wish they used version numbers rather than names so i can tell there’s a new version of android. I thought this was a just a distro for raspberry pis. It’s pretty clear in the article though, no sweat :)

It seems absurd in retrospect, but I was envisioning something like 20-30% of cars. Possibly this is due to commuting with rich people in SF where priuses are every other car. 2% makes it seem like we have no hope for addressing global warm

Dart type or rust type? They refer to different things, which is the source of the confusion, but they're both strongly typed. In any case, you're moving the goal post from "concrete type at compile time" to "can re

Ok, type bound. You can still easily pass around data whose type is not concretely defined at the compilation step. Unless you’re arguing that the dynamic type is actually static, in which case this whole conversation seems semantically poi

Most languages I can think of have this type, from void* to dyn to bounding by the root of the type hierarchy. Not all languages. However, what is c, c++, java, rust, go, if not statically typed? Ambiguously typed? Seems like not a useful d
