Most people trade their freedom for more convenience, but we don't think how we put all our eggs in one basket that we don't control at all. All Apple users are at the mercy of a megacorp. Better don't offend someone online,

If I remember correctly, this is only true for European population. That's where Neanderthal lived, and several times bred with Homo Sapiens.

There are no spelling bees here. We learn to read and write (with two alternate scripts, Latin and Cyrillic) in the first grade, and that's it. It's easy, unless someone has dyslexia, or a similar condition.

Funnily enough, for Serbian (Croatian etc.) speakers, Russian sounds very archaic, probably due to lots of Latin, Greek, and German loan words in Serbian.

Hmmm, I'm from South-East Europe, and the only times I remember hearing a lot about cricket is from Lewis Carroll, and from Indian news. I'm not how many people in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, China, etc. know tha

Horizon 2020? Yes, lots of paper was pushed and lots of fantastic reports written. It promised more breakthroughs and discoveries, but it only delivered tons of reports printed on dead trees.

I'm not sure how a totalitarian regime is atheist. It simply replaces gods with the supreme leader, who is like a god, but worse, since the supreme leader exists. Soviet communism was a religion 100%.
