Also curious about this. It's doubtful. Given the growing number of people coming from Apple it would be great if the DEs provided an option in settings to default to using ctrl or cmd. DEs already make similar accommodations for users

Far less obscure than the issue you cite but I have found keyboard shortcuts across the OS and third party apps on Linux are so incredibly inconsistent when compared to macOS (or Windows for that matter.) I find I'm constantly bouncing

Xcode is finicky enough on the Mac. My vote would be for Apple to focus on improving it on the one platform instead of trying to shoehorn it into iOS. Better yet, free us Swift/Cocoa/iOS developers to use whatever platform we choo
