Weird that like counts fell when people couldn't see how many likes their were. I guess people are scared to be one of only a few likes? Or they want to be cool and like what everyone else likes? I'm the opposite, if something has

Forgive my ignorance, how is this specific to postgres? Or what are the advantages of doing this in pg rather than mysql or redis?

From my experience only: the idea to outsource to under experienced developers is done by upper management who want credit for saving the company tons of money. Then they leave the company in a year or two after claiming great money saving

Been a programmer for 20 years and doing the interview dog and pony show for the first time now. Tons of algo questions out there. Apparently memorizing algos is more important than actually knowing how to build an app front and back and kn

I guess anything that is a script that repeats is a bot? I have one that scrapes over 2,000 used car websites to tell me if a specific type of collectible car is available under a certain price.

Writing a scraper is easy. So I assume the special sauce in these tools is caching, not getting banned or rated limited. Mostly could be done with Tor but still doesn't work with some sites like Craigslist. Is that right?

Checkout svgator (not free). I recently used it to animate an svg, the same way I would have done in Flash years ago.

Some people rather quickly see the reason than read about the leaves blowing on one crispy fall evening as a dog howled in the distance and the city lights twinkled beneath the moon.

After doing some iOS/Mac development, I'd say some bugginiess is caused by changing APIs and behaviors inflicted by Apple, expected to be absorbed/dealt with by developers. They mercilessly do this with every release and no d

Hard to take advice from an article with a ton of typos. The interview process seems to favor CS grads who memorize academic exercises and algorithms. It doesn't seem to take into account if you can actually produce a product and write
