It is challenging. I’ve been part of a project that took a product from idea to brick and mortar consumer retail in about 18 months and it was a lot. You’ve got to become an ad-hoc subject matter expert in many different areas, or be able t

Reminds me of Nobel Prize winning research on the cost of lighting that is covered by a BBC podcast here, https://www.bbc.com/news/business-38650976 , and the original paper here, https://lucept.files.wordpre

No, no one cares generally, but people who are involved or heavily invested in an ecosystem may be interested in new libraries/tools in that ecosystem.

| Flash was basically a blank canvas where you can do just about anything. Turns out that's not a very good model for a number of reasons I don’t think of this as a bad thing. There was exactly a lot of what you say happening around th

Outside of a relatively minuscule number of people who view politics/elections as sport no one cares and they’re treated the same on the national stage.

Generalizing, anytime someone is giving you a “gift” but is putting expectations on how you receive it (in this case the wallet destination) that should be a huge red flag. Whether that’s cryptocurrency or a sandwich.

There’s a trade off there though. I want the classes to be incredibly rigorous, and that means that there should be some amount of students who do not want to or cannot do it. And that’s ok, but we shouldn’t expect just because the admissio

No idea, but theorizing “out loud”. Your body could be producing a bunch of insulin in response to the sweet, which lowers your blood sugar level to below normal levels since there’s no actual sugar for it to move around. Low blood sugar (&

Most software engineers don’t know how much software engineers can make. And I’m not not just talking about at big tech companies. It’s a matter of finding the companies (and divisions within those companies) that have realized software is

This should come as a surprise to no one. Many white people like to identify as some amount of some racial or cultural group that isn’t white. Whether that’s talking about a grandmother that was “full blooded” $tribe/nation or leaning

Really challenging to do either these days. In the olden days when PMs were rare and relatively senior/experienced there was a clear path that developers could take to move towards a PM role. Something of a branch between the intermedi

You have a very different view of “over a barrel” than most people. Hard truth: the chances of you getting any of the money you’re owed, and any more on top of that is incredibly small. So small that the probably might as well be 0%. Busine

Right, so you don’t “source” people who aren’t actively looking. That’s a great approach, and by nature you’re prefiltering for those interested enough in the position to apply for it, but I don’t think it covers all the cases that people u
