I've been in the android market for a year and have done over $100k in sales of my games, and you hit the nail on the head. Create lots of games, and not just for the money. You have to be having fun while creating or it becomes a miserable

Please elaborate. If you aren't making enough money to cover your expenses, and you have no cash on hand, how are you still in business?

Uhg. Had to roll back to 3.6 The new one looks great and seems to run fast, but my most important add-ons weren't supported. I hate being held back by my add-ons, but I have no choice.

I totally disagree. I think he's directly blaming himself. He's NOT blaming the B and C developers for doing a bad job. They did a B and C job. He's blaming HIMSELF for hiring less than the very best.

I haven't interviewed for a LONG time, and I'm not sure what recruiting is because I'm quite disconnected with big business practices, but I do believe Interviewing is just Selling yourself), so on a completely arbitrary and imaginary scale

Yeah, I used to have a similar mindset before starting my (big) family. I can understand what he's saying (though very arrogantly) but I hope he's open to changing his mind someday, just in case. He mentioned he likes having a hassle free

Your analogy lost me ;) but I too didn't understand the twitter comparison. I sometimes feel like the TC folks live, eat, sleep, breathe, and shit twitter all day long, and their perspective is much different. Maybe for them it is the sour

This prompted me to sign-up for Groupon for the first time today. I laughed because it appears to be like Bits Du Jour ( http://www.bitsdujour.com/ ) for everything - not just shareware deals. Bits Du Jour has been around for a LONG time -

I just see it as another gaming console. Whenever I think about buying one, this is why it comes to mind. I think it would be fun to play games on. I really don't see the harm in marketing it as a game console. MS has XBox, Apple has iPad

My kids all have 8GB iPods, no music or videos, just games, and they are starting to have to delete games now because they are running out of space. Some of these games are getting huge.

I bought the ImpactJS engine, and I'm currently working on Android to run sounds through SoundPool while everything else happens in an embedded browser. Not much luck yet, but I think I can get there.
