How rude. Sometimes idealism isn't practical. Idealism is a goal, not an absolute.

I've always used alt+F2 to launch apps that I already know are installed on my system. I find menus are great for browsing/scanning applications that I don't know. And they are quick to use. Whereas the app menus in Gnome 3, are really h

App stores can suck too, think Blackberry. You don't have to resort to the command line to install packages. Synaptic just needs a little freshen up that's all. I far prefer it to Ubuntu's software centre. A load of crap icons and scree

Some of the bloat could be dealt with by the file system. If you download a library you already have, then simply discard it - and make do with a reference. What I'd like to see, is the possibility of having multiple versions of software a

On the flip side, I override a site's design (I usually keep the layout), and apply my own styles - and I'm glad to say that the web is a much better place for me as a result. I gain in having a more consistent experience across the web.

Sadly I don't think the scans are their to protect lives, but rather to protect the machinery (and the industry.) Planes are expensive. It's trivial to kill people elsewhere. I just loathe the rhetoric.

I thought the 'web 2' domain names came about, as most dictionary words had been taken. Take a dictionary word and make a small alteration - so that it is no longer a dictionary word - and it's likely you have something unique. Search engi
