I've been on logseq for a while now and while I do genuinely recommend it, it is not without its issues. On recent versions I've faced issues where the page I'm typing on gets completely deleted. I end up having to go into Dr

That idea of a sidepanel showing a feed of potentially related notes via fuzzy search or something would be such a game changer. Tempted to learn some clojure just to implement this in logseq…

This would make sense -- you can get the mac mini at the base M1, upgrade it to an M1 Pro, or jump up to a Mac Studio for M1 Max and above.

I initially thought the Mac Studio was the "pro" version of the Mac Mini. But no -- they're still selling the i5/i7 mini. This makes me wonder whether they're going to update it at all. Maybe they'll just quiet

I've been holding out on replacing my i7 mac mini until Apple announced its replacement -- and wow that mac studio looks good. The fact I can put linux on it due to the Asahi team's efforts makes it even more attractive.

I doubt they would ever endorse the use of a third party interface to Signal.

I'm a pretty happy logseq user. I've found that I still need some degree of hierarchy in my notes, as opposed to just having organic, non-hierarchical linking between everything. So I end up making subnotes: [[Topic A/subtopi

It should be noted that Tarn would probably agree with a lot of the criticisms leveled here regarding the UI. The focus so far has been on getting the systems working (and there are many more to go and be further fleshed out: magic, the org

I’ve tried mechanicals (Cherry switches), various rubber domes, the IBM buckling spring keyboards, and the Apple scissor switches. Then I was recommended the Niz by a friend, and it’s the closest thing to ideal I’ve ever used. To be honest,

Totally agree here. Having a functional menu bar on the level of Unity or macOS is an excellent design choice, imo. I've always felt like Gnome just wastes that space, causing everything to be crammed into an application's title b

This is great. By the way, one of the things that has often discouraged me from filing bugs is not really knowing how to do so. Sometimes, looking at issues on github, I find people provide super structured and clean descriptions of bugs. T

Yep, and you choose where logseq files are stored, so you can use anything you'd like to for syncing. I will say though, I've tried using Dropbox for syncing with logseq, and it ended up creating a lot of duplicate copies due to c

I’d check out logseq [0]. Closer to roam than obsidian, but GPL, operates on plaintext files, and supports Org-mode style formatting as well as markdown. It’s getting to be fairly fully featured by now, and the development team moves fast.

This article ( https://madaidans-insecurities.github.io/firefox-chromium.ht... ) by madaidan goes into quite a bit of detail regarding the security of the two browsers. Things are improving on FF, though.
