Agree. Nothing about this reads senior engineer. The writing is quite lacking. The material isn't technical, or engineering oriented. It's essentially self promotion.

Nah, a bit dramatic I would say. Anyway to the extent people see Facebook, Bannon, Trump, and the like powerful I think is because they do so in a power vacuum. Congress both in its institutional action and a lot of inaction over the last s

What I am learning ... is you have a lot to learn. The relatively minor and patently obvious point that there are assholes, players, and politicians in human organizations doesn't give us that much to work with. Moreover, you have defi

I deplore this list as antithetical to good business. Nobody who's had to reform a loss making human organization (think Motorola and SPC, IBM in 1990s, Xerox late 80s, Iacocca and Chrysler, or Dr Schutz of the book Human Element) used

This is credit cards. I consulted at a major credit card company many years ago. Their main system was the usual: mainframes with three money buckets one for charges, one for cash advance, and other. They tried to move the whole thing to UN

Totally agree. If you've got something to say, and have some real value marketing is legit and darn helpful and a strategic need. Of course without the preconditions marketing and sales sounds like a BS exercise of desperate come on.

I despise marketing and politics insofar as how it's done: lying, picking very narrow talking points without acknowledging the larger context and contradictions it comes with. Marketing is what you do you don't have to hard sell:

I agree with this position. Let workers decide for themselves how best to use their time. Here's what I don't understand about uber/Lyft and finance people who invest in them: - they are loss makers bleeding serious money. -
