Not enough sophisticated adjactives. On HN everything is incredible, amazing, electrifying and goosebumps inducing. I would love to see a frequency analysis of such words on HN vs elsewhere.

Give it a maildir output option and it will be much more useful. Such tools already exist but the more options the better.

Usenet servers had admins and tools to deal with spam: cancel messages and in extreme cases the UDP. If you were on a decently run server it wasn't any worse than Reddit or HN even.

The only software I look forward to upgrading is Emacs. Everything else fills me with dread about what will break or what functionality will be lost this time.

Xapian is great, especially when you need a a C/C++ library rather than a separate service. Kinda like an sqlite for search. Some of my favorite tools like notmuch and recoll use it.

I was wondering how this was done entirely without CGO since hooking up the transpiled code to a native Go X client like xgb sounds really hard. Apparently it uses a transpiled version of libX11 and freetype. Which seems pretty crazy but I

Make sure to turn on pdfgrep-mode (a global minor mode, its role is to advise compilation-mode to make it deal with pdfgrep output) and then run M-x pdfgrep with a syntax similar to M-x grep, so you need to specify the filename(s) to grep i
