I know it's a rant, but my explanation for the popularity of such visualization is their familiarity. I mean, I'd also prefer a more accurate use of references to science, but I guess you will agree that "A periodic table of

One of the pilots is heard asking the other why he "did the cut-off". The other pilot, it says, responded that he did not do so... This is still not enough for speculation, but along with the fact that they left no notes or guidan

Yeah, watched this today too. Kudos to them for the absence of guesswork. That said, I believe that if the preliminary report shows that (1) there were no engine failures and (2) fuel switches were indeed set to cutoff, this has some crazy

As a software engineer myself, I agree that there are certain aspects of the job that are annoying or mentally fatiguing. That said, unfortunately I had to learn much more than I had wanted about the work of neurosurgeons and ICU units thre

I also thought that people in the USA care much more about dental care than people in other parts of the world. Maybe, it's also related to the cost of dental procedures. For example, in some post-USSR countries, getting a filling or e

I think it all boils down to a certain degree of mechanical sympathy: https://wa.aws.amazon.com/wellarchitected/2020-07-02T19-33-2... Based on my understanding, this is similar to how commercial pilots are trained. The

I am not saying that quitting SSRIs is the ultimate answer, it just works (sort of) for me mostly because I am not that depressed. Also, having partial theories is not wrong, but in the case of SSRIs, I deliberately chose to avoid medicatio
