Another advantage of Mercator is that if you display the map from latitudes of about -85 degrees to +85 degrees you end up with a perfect square, which makes chopping the map into tiles nice and easy.

Its two negation operators. The first returns false is the object exists and true if it doesn't and the second flips that around. So you get true if the object exists and false otherwise.

Not completely useless... Its pretty handy for disabling javascript, changing forms from POST to GET, viewing form fields and trying different browser window sizes. Otherwise though it does have a lot of pointless options.

Not really... They send you a letter asking you to pay and you send it back saying you don't have a TV. That's all I had to do. They'll probably ask me again in a few years, I suppose.
