I’m so glad that Kyle wrote this. I’m so sad that he had to. Pay attention to what’s going on and vote.

There is an ease of cleaning value that comes from a single unbroken surface. That said - placement needs some work. Or put the UI in a phone.

LIDAR, like other technologies, declines in cost over time, has done so substantially, and will continue to do so. Tesla is just on the wrong side of that bet.

I really don’t, no. I’m also not affiliated with twitter or Elon at all, so not sure what the rest is about.

Oh we definitely were, I don’t know too many of the folks there these days, it’s been 12 years since I left. Hostile? That’s definitely a take. Curious what you’re thinking there.

As someone close to a severe Alzheimer’s case - I would personally write a check for $100K in a heartbeat for a treatment that worked. And yes - I mean I would do that every 6 months. I’m curious: Do you have any idea what care for such sit

Example: EV charging is largely schedule based (mine charges overnight only - because rate plan), and can be made demand based pretty easily.

Curious what you’ve heard. I certainly enjoyed working with him and Hurst in the early days at Obvious 2.0 when we were incubating Branch. A bunch of Medium & Obvious 2.0 alumni I respect work or worked at TBC (Dustin, DanB, Connor, Cem

Just in case it wasn’t obvious, there are a bunch of “Expect X to have happened by now” type tasks in there. These are basically dead man’s switches to remind me to check on someone else’s progress vs a timeline - ala @patio11’s “dangerous

Yuuuup. I remember the days before I had this much complexity. Frankly, it’s forced me to get a lot better at stuff. Back to school was a blizzard of forms, meetings, drop offs, etc. each with their own unique timelines. Sandwiched between

Thanks, it’s grown organically over the 10+ years I’ve used it. I’ve also used a variety of EAs over the years, and in my experience reliability is highly variable. The great ones are amazing .

I do have those, especially for shopping. "Home Depot Trip" for example is a constant, and has 2-10 checklist items on it at any given time based on what I need. The problem with a once weekly checklist of [all the house things]

Sure, but I would lose a ton of reminder and repeating action functionality. I’d also have to scan across a dozen or more files to figure out what my day looks like. Seems strictly worse to me.

I’ve tried most of the major systems, and for me Things3 wins hands down. Yes, it costs some money to by the app on my phone and on my Mac, but the cost of missing even one deadline blows those costs out of the water. I do with Things3 sup

sigh I've done the text file thing, and it’s fine. Up to a (very small) point. What the author describes as their “workload” barely registers. For context, for me, Things on any given day has over 100 individual actions, most of whic
