Thus far, my team has likewise been unable to find a good functional testing suite for iOS. We will definitely be giving this a shot.

I'm a little confused what your point is. Turntable may not appeal to you, but it obviously appeals to other people.

It's probably something political, or maybe even technical (such as handling permissions?). Either way, as a user I completely agree that heavy Facebook integration would be more compelling.

"Apple clearly values their developers. They are a source of innovation and development. The company was proud to announce during the keynote that it had paid out more than $2.5 billion to developers." Wait, what? They value developers by t

Couchsurfing and airbnb offer completely different services. Couchsurfing is free, and very focused on community building. It is definitely alive and kicking.

You said it yourself: you did it for many years before you got over it. Just because you won't do it again doesn't mean it's not something worth doing. People say the same thing about startups.

What I was saying is that a 'reasonable contractor fee' would have to be about double your current hourly wage, since the first half would only compensate the cost of burning the vacation day.

How can anyone expect a candidate to burn 3 vacation days to work for a company they are unfamiliar with? For people who only get 10 vacation days a year that's almost 1/3. The money you get may not even be enough to compensate for the mone

Great writeup! Why didn't you guys just use interface builder? Not only does it speed up view building in general, but, as you claimed, it would have fixed this issue in particular.

Wow.. my first rails project was going to be exactly this. Almost the exact same features and UI. Kind of unsettling =) Since you destroyed me to the punch, my only suggestion is to have some sort of tagging system, so that users can search

Just be careful when you do this. It's really easy to get lost and frustrated in an app that doesn't have a consistent tab bar at the bottom. The problem is that you can click a few things, forget the context of what you were doing, and not

If you have an iPhone 3G then your hardware is over two years old, and your iOS version, if updated, is still feature limited. Maybe that's why it feels so stagnant?

Supposedly a lot of the bugs are for somewhat older iOS versions, so I wasn't seeing them. I figured the "buggy POS" stuff was overhyped, which it seems to not be. However, I think most of the people who know about Color are hackers and sta
