I dont understand the list of supported features. In my opinion currying and variadic functions are supported in go to some degree. Variadic functions even links to the go example, but classifies them as unsupported in go.

Well hardware maybe, but i think that software does not degrade the way hardware does. There is a lot of firmware which never gets updated and devices just keep working as long as the hardware is still ok.

Why would ships need regular upgrades if they work fine? I imagine maintenance would include software updates when docking to a space station

I am really nerdy (including the awkward at school stuff etc.) and am married. This goes for most nerdy tech people i know. The ones that stayed single usually had some other issues like hygiene or erratic behavior. From what i can gather t

Man, if i look at the numbers people are throwing around i start to think that Europe is another planet. Well at least we have better social benefits all around i guess.

Very strange examples, why are incels hot topics for men in tech? I have known one incelish person in tech and i've met many hundreds of people by now. Is this incel stuff actually relevant in america? In europe i think it is not

Yes, but when i try to apply this knowledge i fail every time. I do unterstand the basic ideas behind CSS, but is just cant apply it. Tailwind allowed me to apply it. If i could, i would prefer to write CSS! After 10 years i have given up t

I agree with your first sentence, but not with your second. For my own homepage i did not write a single line of css. I am very, very bad with CSS and can't wrap my head around it, but tailwind allowed me to create a very pretty, respo

These people are natives with dialects. As an immigrant you face prejudices sometimes and being in a negative interaction makes you more wary of the other parties intent.

We are in pandemic-mode for over a year now - isn't it obvious that masks help by now?

If your financial situation allows it consult a professional. Go outside regurarily, exercise would be best. Techwise i think that Go is a good idea if you are coming from C++ and want to get into cloud and web stuff. Instead of leetcode i

I see this happening regurarily and i have to say that it heavily depends on the native speakers nationality. Americans (at least if they don't speak some thick dialect) are easy to understand due to movies etc. Brits are ok enough, bu

But immediately i have seen companies announce specialized PCIe 4 SSDs - in the beginning you could also just mine bitcoin with existing CPUs or GPUs.

Aside from the other issues mentioned by commenters i want to add that this perspective leaves out the whole nature vs nurture debate - so those clones would not automatically become geniuses. You could essentially just give a bunch of kids

Interesting. Coming from a rather poor background (refugee) i was lucky enough to not experience this in tech. I do notice a disconnect in perspective and priorities though. Also i live in europe, where this is maybe a tad different.

I love go and it is my main language, but Uber uses go and clearly has some need for Hadoop. Also the go GC is behind the JVM GCs if you want to really tune it IMHO

At least for stocks i don't think this is valid. The great index funds have more all-time-highs then not, for bitcoin this has also partly been true i guess. Still i am wary of crypto investments, easy to get burned.

I enjoy doing things i am unexperienced or bad in, since this removes a lot of expectations people have and i am generally a fast learner. Actually doing stuff i am good at stresses me out sometimes! Maybe imposter syndrome or my fear of it
