Thanks! Just to make sure I understand your suggestion correctly: you mean you input your earnings and age of retirement and the tool tells you how much you should spend to use up all of your money by the time you are dead? Might be nice, b

It's on my todo to implement this in some form, but not accounted for yet. But you can reduce the returns percentage on your investments to account for it. Note though that pension tax relief also isn't accounted for in the number

True. But I would say there is a place for simpler tools too, and that is what I aim to build with this calculator. Plus you can go a long a way to factoring in big life changes even with the simple inputs currently provided. Btw did you mi

Does this mean that the highest any new "hot pepper" can ever get to is 16m Scoville?

Yeah, I do. It's what ultimately discouraged me from using the language. They are keeping a tight grip on Mojo, they may promise open sourcing it, but that didn't stop them from doing things like preventing an online repl for Mojo

For what it's worth, I think what Mojo does do better is that it's trying to be a better Python. Chapel's syntax immediately discourages me from using it.

At this point is there any disadvantage to legislating that all companies should share a transparency report where they list their levels + avg, min, max, median salaries for each level?

This was my first thought. How sure are we that their model isn't just over-fitting and finding letters that aren't really there?

Interesting, I think Replit can bring a lot to this. I did a little experiment where I asked my partner to use ChatGPT to write a Python script to solve a file comparison task, the biggest challenge was the tooling (VS Code, terminal, etc),

Until we see successful video games/movies/tv shows built using 100% generative art I will remain sceptical that this will happen. What's more likely is that generative AI art will be its own category like digital art, where

It’s crazy how many interesting things you can find when scraping prices of services and products online (most of the time tricks that aim to screw the customer). I think it’s time the EU legislates that companies provide pricing data via a

I’m really excited about Mojo, but can’t help but feel like Modular’s insistence to register for the download is a red flag for how they will handle Mojo development. It leaves a bit of a bad impression.
