What a weird example to choose. I (and many others) continue to enjoy rewatching The Matrix even though the third one has some boring elements.

Why would you want all this stuff synced? The only thing I want out of that is passwords, but 1Password works just fine for that. In fact, I don't trust a browser to store my passwords securely.

I don't think that's true. But if it is, can you blame them? Community notes are not impartial and X has become incredibly biased towards the far right.

Your passport won't be stored anywhere. It will be verified, then some details like passport number will be encrypted and stored to ensure uniqueness but that's it. Sure, that may make you uneasy as well, but I hope being transpar

If such methodology doesn't exist then how are quantitative trading firms in business? Genuinely wondering. Is this because they have so much money to play with that they can move markets in their favour?

Let’s say you’re right. There is only one side claiming they are “free speech absolutists”. There is only one side demonstrably lying to you. It’s Elon Musk. You’re being duped by a billionaire and you’re too blind to see it.

The thing that I don't get about the silly Tesla robots is that we literally had the same in the 2000s. It was funnily enough also made by a car manufacturer. It was the Honda ASIMO. Optimus is at best a slightly better ASIMO. What mak

Yeah, they were cool in the 2000s too when ASIMO was shown off. What ever happened to that? Honda is now valued higher than Tesla, right? Oh wait... no they are not.

So your response is “it was worse in the past”? Two wrongs don’t make a right. Either you’re a “free speech absolutist” or you’re just a lying charlatan. Elon is clearly the latter, the evidence is right in front of your eyes and you choose

See discussion above for details, but in short: by requiring user passports. Yeah, I’ll probably make it possible to set up bots that are clearly labelled.

Yep. I’ve considered doing it myself but it would require setting up an app for iOS and Android. For now relying on existing services will be fine. If this takes off I might set up my own passport verification service.

There is no such word. Even if there is it would be trivial to create a bot that avoids this. Passports are the only practical way to ensure that I’m talking to a human. Do you have a better idea?

It really doesn’t. Anonymous people are far more likely to lie, obscure facts and mislead to make you support whatever cause they want to strengthen.

That’s a very good point and indeed it is a potential attack vector. I’ll have to think about that. Perhaps I can get away with not tying the passport hash to a particular user.

SIM cards are as cheap as £1 where I live. £1 per account is nothing and I wouldn't be surprised if there are ways to get unique numbers for even less.
