Well said! I wish I had discovered this truth few years before. In fact while it's especially true for JavaScript it's also true e.g. for Ruby ecosystem ~5 (?) years ago, with all the endless stream of test, factory, workers gems

The only downside would be time.Time structures grow by 8 bytes, but this is really minor because if you're storing times you're likely storing timestamps and not time.Time structures.

Sorry, can you elaborate in which way this is "does not have to think about servers"? Because almost the first thing on their tutorial is some messing around with AWS.

Every time these new user tracking hacks come up (like the one based on Audio API etc.) I wonder why in the world this is not handled in a manner similar to Android where it prompts you to give permissions to the any specific API its going
