I love paper maps because: - scale is fixed, so 1 finger = x minutes walk - wide area view Every time I look at a map on my phone centered on my location I'm thinking I'm cheating, spoling the fun of finding where I am.

Do you have a particular use case in mind? I think that the WebAssembly world needs more programming languages that produce short byte code to be useful in browsers (and that's why I thing Go with its stdlib is not an appropriate sourc

Few do that in France. Is it because we already have plenty of PTO (5 weeks, plus often 12 more days because the legal week is 35 hours but we usually do more)? Anyway, I took a gap time at age 36 for a 3 months trip in South America. And t

This is for Python, but I see much more potential for implementing this in Raku which has built-in support for strongly-typed command-line syntax defined as the signature of the MAIN function. https://docs.raku.org/language&

But do you get software update (and deployment to your device) when vulnerabilities are found? ;) The real reason is it reduces the cost (and duration) of iterating in the development phase.

Don't blame the floating point numbers. Just use a programming language that doesn't coerce strings into numbers. Or use a comparison function/operator that explicitely compares arguments as strings and not as numbers.

This is exactly what happens when you sort the number ascending and compute the sum starting from the smallest. Like in the article. Except this doesn't work if you must handle negative numbers. So what matters is not the smallest numb

That's not a minor UI issue. Twitter is a media between people. Removing emoji representation differences on user devices is a way to hopefully reduce misunderstandings between users.
