I'm sorry, but in between your Straw Man argument and your indirect Ad Hominem attack, I fail to see you address the point that these kids caused harm to a business. Nowhere did I say that PHPFog bears no responsibility for the security of

What I find most disturbing about this whole situation is the way in which these teenagers are handling themselves, especially after the fact. The continued denial of responsibility and half-hearted mea culpa, coupled with the monetary dama

That's my point, there is no way to save a story without upvoting it, but the two are mutually exclusive, or atleast should be. People will use the vote button as a way to bookmark stories that they want to read later but are forced to vote

While I am one of those that would hand over my saved stories, I wonder about the validity of any conclusions you would draw from the group analysis due to the dual nature of the save button. The same button that is used to up vote an artic

I understand the sentiment trying to be conveyed here, and I do agree that by speaking up a developer can help prevent a bad feature from being released while learning more about their product offering. However in the type of company descr

While I share your 'hype' skepticism, that gain could easily be gained by adding a missing index. By itself the above statement really doesn't say much, either about the amazing improvement or the quality of the current schema in place.

Having been there a few times there are a few suggestions I'd like to put out there. The points here should take a very minimal amount of time (< 1 week combined) but they are meant to be easy ways of getting more mileage out of what yo

Good / bad are relative terms. Neither situation would be recommended for a site with a code base that pulls from multiple resources / pushes to multiple servers on every release, but for a single server environment this could suffice. As f

Who are you trying to kid here? It's obvious to those here that it's an automated response system...a.k.a. a bot. Many of the users here could / have written such a bot at one time with far less nefarious reasoning behind doing so. You can'
