Jobs implies something when he says that he thinks the web "should" be open. He doesn't say it's better for Apple if it's open. Anyway, what is the point? Shouldn't we all have our own self interest in mind and not Apple's? What do I ca

They seem to be arguing both sides. First we should have open standards. This is great because apps work cross platform. But then he goes on to say that cross platform libraries are bad because they stifle apple innovation. This is very

It seemed more geared towards kids to me. It seems like an attempt to bring back the way a lot of us learned, by buying books/magazines with code listings and typing them in. It's a decent idea. Anyone can do it and you really do learn s

I don't understand how a salary jump of 3 years can be a career regression of 5 years. That means you are paying him 8 yrs behind what he should be earning by his career progression? That is sad.

Some people will always regret whatever it is that they decided not to do. The best defense is to make mindful decisions. It's not surprising that the thing this guy thought he really wanted to do is something that is force fed to us 24/7

First off, I don't claim to be an IT person or know what normal users need to be safe. I can only speak to my personal experience as a programmer. I haven't had a virus in 14 years. I haven't ever run anti-virus software. I have a good
