The difference is SF has amazing weather, some of the best in the world. Detroit is a windy frozen wasteland 6 months of the year. I think they need to do a whole order of magnitude more self-destruction before they’ll really be able to kee

This is cute and all for creating one-off, in distinct, stylized images. But what if I want to illustrate say a children’s book with generated images? dall-e for example never gets faces right and good luck trying to have the same character

Please enlighten us. I figure the company is likely Amazon, and it’s some core service like EC2 given that underpins basically everything and has different agents running on each box that are handled by different teams like CloudWatch?

As someone who worked too long at an office with non-existent ventilation and a fetish for long, closed door meetings, my motto became: “Take a break. Go outside. Walk around the block. Never come back.”

If you don’t know what you care about, spend time figuring that out first, even if it takes longer than you feel like it should. A good place to start is Cal Newport’s podcast Deep Questions

Definitely an in group vocabulary. This article is actually quite light on the lingo, but a couple other big ones are “a priori” and “update your priors”. Basically an attempt at applying statistical reasoning to reasoning in everyday life.
