Absolutely if the candidate is upfront about it and has a plan in place. Depression is nothing to joke about but it’s a condition that can be overcomed with a support and proper treatment. Don’t get frustrated if you will hear no a lot. It

There is a fascinating book [0] that recently came out that describes Jho Low in a great detail, including the role of GS and the ex-prime minister of Malaysia. [0] https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079WVJZCH/

Depends on the company, but this is the status quo in most. Some startups (including ours) now offer 10 years exercise period, but it's not common.

That's exactly what we built internally. Not only a capability to identify the original video, but which portions of it are being shared the most, what's the most popular video, etc. Technical challenge is one thing, but getting p

Why would you think we're not compensating them fairly? There are many challenges to hire people in other states, even more in other countries. Too much for a small company to deal with.

We do offer some of the same things, mostly around vacation time. The rest is just simple not possible. We're trying to see if we can do more direct hiring, but for that we need to grow the remote team more for it to make sense.

I do agree with your assessment (although it's more complicated than that). Historically, rights holders (RH) used to have the upper hand, then the Internet came and took their reign down while giving upper hand to DSPs. Now RHs are tr
