Copyright law can be misused and can inhibit some advancement, but the fact that “certain groups” or “certain companies” can just ignore laws with no ramifications is something else. If it’s probably life-saving or a pipeline of a dream (se

You know this has taken time to sift in my head, personally I disdain it as for me it seems more similar to a real product or a PoC. My definition of a tech provocation would be a plain website, showcasing the idea and potentially exaggerat

Llm rewrite or llm boosted dev aside, I’m still on the fence about rust too. My main issue is deployment as I hop different os’s casually and makes rust a non-starter.

I wouldn’t imagine recreating Apache poi would be a terrible reach for a human let alone a llm. Anything beyond basic utilities though I have a slightly harder time seeing.

I read through their earlier announcement, i don’t think it’ll be trivially by-passable without distorting the original message. I would agree it may not help spam-bot usage, however at this case seemingly the only user detection is likely

Even then, I would not trust an AI lab as Microsoft does have a long history of support for word whereas I’m not sure the level of continued support from AI labs. *support including bug fixes, vulnerabilities, continued user testing, inter

I think you said it best before, Linux is made for tinkerers. Why are you expecting a Mac system to operate like Linux? As much as I like Mac I know it will never be used for games, so I use something else.

Especially when there are three different versions, and each has a different team, and they all can work together at the same time. Crazy amount of tech supporting it that breaks a humans context let alone a models context.

I would agree a full rewrite of word which is very complex and take quite a bit of time. It would be impressive of AI to make a 80% rewrite, though I fully doubt it would cover the 100% rewrite (disregarding long term support as well). Why

On top of everyone else’s great points, if you make your own “fork” of something, then you have to consistently maintain it. Which can be done with tokens, but an extra cost with something that’s not as user tested.

You must've mis-read my statements. My position is there is a balancing act between training specialists vs hiring already pre-trained specialists depending on changing requirements. To the contrast of your conservative approach, I

So we’re in agreement? The time of investment for growth is the point of decision, and how long it takes to train specialists defines if it’s worth it. I.e. how long would it take to train a regular driver to drive the inde 500 vs buying a
