In my opinion that's a totally valid response. What was Google's other option? Pay to index their websites? That's ridiculous. Now if Google asked them to pay or else they wouldn't be indexed, that would be a different s

Yeah I don't remember Eclipse using this much ram, but then again, I never had such a big project indexed in Eclipse. Either way it's worth it, IntelliJ is amazing.

Spinning up 4 (sometimes 5) modules of our companies Java project and running IntelliJ IDEA. IntelliJ alone goes over 4gb of ram usage at times. Chrome easily hogs a couple gigs. And then about a 1gb for each Java module.

Chrome, IntelliJ IDEA, and 4 Java modules running simultaneously goes through 8gb without any hesitation. Hell, IntelliJ alone uses over 4gb sometimes.

Yes, they are. React deals with more of the templating side of things (many people use it as the V in MVC, or in some cases as the V & C). But along with React, Facebook also released their Flux architecture which isn't a framework

You could say the same thing about Google. They launch so many products and if they don't work out they just disappear. Isn't that what an innovative company does? Try crazy things and see what works.

I think there are putinbots on reddit and maybe even HackerNews. I've had situations where I would see a ridiculously revisionist pro-Russian comment with 10+ points on reddit, then I would reply with a totally reasonable comment askin

The 2014 MacBook Air does not have a single USB port, you're confusing it with the new MacBook.

When you buy from a dealership, you pay the taxes to them. If you are buying a used car from another person, you pay the taxes at the DMV. The $200-300 is just registration + any fees.

How are we back where we started? If I need to send my friend a payment and they are not in the same room with me, I couldn't do it with cash or checkbooks. Now I could send a friend money in about 5 clicks on my phone.

That's always a possibility, but I think at this point it would be just as hard to dethrone Pinterest. A lot of the content on Pinterest is pinned from within the site itself. I dunno what the percentage is, but most people I see that

That's ridiculous. Would you say the same about areas where people consume more microwaved dinners over cooked meals? That the people cooking their meals are just resistant to change?

Sure, there are terrible beans out there that may be worse than instant coffee, just like there are terribly cooked meals out there worse than microwaved dinners. Parent stated "What I have come to this this: few coffees compare to Nes

The MacBook is a completely different machine than this. Now the MacBook Pro Retina 13" is a more proper comparison. In which case they are pretty close when it comes to specs, price, weight, size, battery life, etc.
