I have a friend in Japan who used to own a small seafood restaurant. At the end of the day, before closing up shop, she would send a fax to her supplier at the local fish market with a list of things she needed for tomorrow. Take a printed

s15 seems to be skewed by a bunch of JavaScript projects including Font Awesome, which stores the bathtub icon as s15.js for some reason (note that s1 through s14 are unused, so it's not just consecutive numeric ids). https:/

How can you say " _____ doesn't have this problem (unless you use wildcard imports " when all of the languages you listed allow wildcard imports? (Or just dump all their garbage symbols in a global namespace.)

Backend web services. Scala has top notch tools to model domain objects, handle a high volume of incoming requests, process transactions (including async ones). tl;dr: like the JVM and dislike root causing NPEs? Scala might be for you.

In Scala a Set is "mappable" because it has a `map` method that goes over its elements and transforms them using the provided function. But it is not a functor, because its `map` does not obey the functor laws. If you take a Set o

Even more impressively, the poem is also sometimes used (untranslated) in classes teaching English as a second language. So you don't need to be a native speaker to intuit the intended meaning.

I don't know where exactly xkcd lands on the web comic popularity scale, but let's be conservative and say Top 3. The xkcd RSS feed embeds the image (and alt text) into posts. That is very clearly a deliberate decision. The comics
