Not only ads -- we always joke that Firefox users are cheap bastards (although now Chrome is taking over that distinction) -- here are the conversion rates for a small online apparel retailer for the last month: IE 3.68% Safari 2.87% Firefo

This would be even better if it could break down javascript execution time on a line by line basis. I was able to spot an inefficient javascript file, but only found the culprit by commenting and uncommenting lines (inefficient jquery selec

There is a list at the top level of the Market application. However, it doesn't change very often and it's not clear how one ends up on it in the first place.

I'm having trouble envisioning a world where a majority of content creators are dumb enough license their content exclusively to a single search engine. If a clueless handful want to pay Microsoft to hasten their own death, then by all mean

Everyone who plays poker online shares these same concerns, so it's not surprising that the largest sites care deeply about their reputations (especially since they make so much money playing it straight up). That said, there has been at le

Google did make some improvements to the market in 1.6, so I'm hoping that effort is ongoing. Really frustrating how secretive they are about everything though.

On the contrary, both games have hidden information and an unknowable optimal strategy. Poker is more challenging because more is hidden, but there are similar underpinnings.
