In the parlance of the game industry this is something of an entity/component system, which allows one to swap out capabilities as needed.

Only players in places where gambling is legal can participate. So a US developer could make a game using Betable's API, but it won't be US players gambling.

The main problem (as I see it) is you're limited by the types of games offered by the API. It would be cool if you could provide your own logic for a game, but of course that's a difficult problem for Betable to solve since they need to kno

Actually 2 of them survived until trial (1 still facing further review), but Google was deemed to not be infringing by the jury.

Actually the API copyright question has not been answered yet - the judge has yet to rule on whether it's copyrightable, and the jury hung on whether it's fair use. This case is not over.

If the judge rules that APIs are copyrightable, then a new jury will be necessary, so they will decide the damages on the non-API infringement which has already been found. If he rules that APIs are NOT copyrightable, then he will decide th

Yes - for those not following the trial, the judge has told the jury that SSO are copyrightable, and if the jury finds against Google, then the judge will decide whether or not SSO actually is copyrightable. So he may render their decisio
