"It may be, it may not be." Exactly. As he mentions, engineering any given system presents its own unique set of challenges, and should be addressed as such. Use the proper tools to solve problems. There are no one-size-fits-all solutions i

Despite whether you agree with him or not, Alex is one of the best technical writers around. This post is exemplary of that.

To start any business you have to take risk. You've gotten this far with your idea, the worst that can happen is they say no. But, now you've got experience pitching to VCs. Understand that the fear of rejection is just that: fear. It's par

The power of traction always amazes me. There is nothing like watching your business gain a reputation and existence of its own outside of your idea of what your business is. Once you start getting traction you will always be surprised how

I think this way, too. I assume I'm a bad programmer, businessman, communicator, etc. It has always served me well. It keeps me asking questions and always striving to improve. Even in the unlikely event that I ever knew what I was talking

You should read some of the actual accounts of how/why GS took the tarp funds. Paulson basically told them to take it, or the government would suck up all of their oxygen.

You should know, GS was basically forced to take the bailout money by Paulson, and were the first to pay it back.

I'm wondering how often you have to restart your Mongrel processes? Seems Mongrel loves to bloat.

Ezra, you deserve a lot of the credit for the growth of Nginx. Your evangelism has done nothing short of catapulting its exposure in the community. So, thank you.

I'm a single founder. I fall in the "tech cofounder" and would welcome a "business cofounder" any day. And, speaking of which, find me if you'd be interested.

One down day over the course a fiscal quarter hardly equates to "zero-risk" trading. The market has been on a 6 month trend up, and when trending it is relatively easy to make assumptions that can pay off everyday. Judging from last week's
