Lucidchart isn't open source but it does have a public API allowing the editor to be embedded in other applications. https://www.lucidchart.com/pages/api_documentation Or it has a simpler Visio API which allows other applications to use L

Have there been any studies definitively showing a link between social media links and increase in search rankings? I've been doing SEO for a number of years and I'm always a little skeptical of what is proclaimed as the latest trend. I ag

I work at Lucidchart ( http://www.lucidchart.com ), a browser-based diagramming tool, and I can definitely confirm that UML is still used very widely. Though I can't share specifics, I can confirm it's among our most popular diagram types.

Wasn't Google a 'minor twist' on existing search engines? Wasn't Facebook a 'minor twist' on existing social networks? The value difference is huge between poor execution and stellar execution on a solid concept. So just because another co

When considering pricing for software, it's important to consider more than just the initial sale. It needs to be a comprehensive view of customer lifetime value. One of the critical things in my current business is the upgrade path for cu

I thought the book was also pretty interesting. Paulson was in a very difficult position -- one I certainly do not envy -- so his first-hand perspective was worth the read.

Thanks! The price point definitely helps pull away customers from Visio. It is pretty common for us to see a customer get rid of 10 Visio licenses and buy 100+ Lucidchart licenses in its place. More often than not though, it's the other fea

Thanks. The instant demo converts quite well. If you have a product where it makes sense to do it, I'd recommend it. There's a significant segment that doesn't want to provide an email address just to try something quickly to see if ts the
