I wasn't in it to seek rents, we were nearly breaking even. It happened to be a place I previously lived in and it was easier to rent than to sell during the great recession.

I think you are very presumptuous. I grew up in poverty in a third world country and know what it's like to not eat, and when I did eat, I remember having to pick bugs out of my beans before cooking them.

No, but the point was to ensure people pay what they're expected to pay. Not to give them a handout.

Because when I see an article about some obscure topic I'm interested in, but know very little about, there's a high chance someone knows so much about that topic and will make some outstanding post to add to the conversation.

> Use their engine analysis feature after each game to see moves that you may have missed. This right here. If you don't go back and learn from your mistakes, how do you not repeat them?

I still believe it's real estate. As someone in the tech space, you should be able to do house hacking quite easily. Let that portfolio grow and then 1031 into larger commercial properties. If you work remote, it may be even easier. Ha

Curious to see how things at FAANG are going. Maybe they start seeing some of the benefits and adopt remote work in the future.

I've had the same thought/idea myself. There's so much more this can branch into if you want. It looks like this is very targeted towards the SMB space. I'm wondering if you could adjust your pricing and features to help

What's rent like in those places? I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around thinking how devs get by on so little.

I wish I could be surprised by stuff like this. Feels like this stuff is the norm, not the exception. Unfortunately, I don't see how this is going to change anytime soon.

Ya, but $15/m isn't a whole lot. I hardly watch Netflix anymore, and there are certainly bigger fish to fry when it comes to saving money or maybe spend more time trying to make more money.

I used to do this, but I kept forgetting the "uniqueid" for the sites I used. I'd often resort to using my regular email for the forget password prompts and then would have to search my inbox to figure out the correct email (

Thanks for all that you, John and Stripe have done for startups. Question for you, how will you continue to remain focused on helping startups if/when you go public and have shareholders to appease?

I've noticed this as well in the redwoods in northern California. Some groves are completely silent. I'm not sure why that is. These are natural forests, so I'm puzzled as to why there aren't many birds.

I personally use KeePass and Dropbox. I don't mean to hijack the thread, but allow me to ask what you guys use within you company, if anything. Do you use a cloud solution, something self-hosted, or nothing?

I love hearing stories about people choosing to forego large frontend frameworks, or even not using JS altogether. Is there a community or name for this? If not, I'm going to call it #neverscript. I find the web works far better, more
