Disclaimer: mostly vim guy. I agree that Emacs is super powerful for power users, don't agree that it's intuitive or easy for new users. Also I found spacemacs to be pretty brittle when I last tried it a year ago.

I'm pretty sure then, as now, the readership of SA was not reflective of the population as a whole! I'm pretty sure you could find all kinds of bizarre conspiracies from this era as well. (e.g. all Catholics are trying to take ove

For speaking and listening watch and re-watch seasons 3-10 of the Simpsons, very wonderful, dense humor. Try to make sure you get all the little off-hand comments and subtle jokes

Also quit coffee to switch exclusively to green tea. I was just getting too much anxiety. I definitely feel much calmer without coffee. In general for I think I was a great move, I work a little less, but when I work it tends to be on more

In Canada everyone out of work gets a $2000 check almost right away and basically no questions asked. And we're definitely less wealthy than the US (even per capita). So very unclear to me why the US can't do the same

I didn't know that "killed by bandits" was a standard in medieval trade logs! Is there a book or article you could happen to recommend to learn more about that?

I was just reading the autobiography of William T Sherman during the civil war he was constantly complaining about the press. The New York Times ran an unsubstantiated smear article on him. The confederate newspapers said they were winning

I would imagine it would be possible to only declare one infection per phone/device? If that's possible that should be a sufficient barrier to all but the most dedicated trolls?

I'm not sure where you get the source the covid19 is no deadlier than the flu as that seems to be thoroughly debunked at this point

I guess I'm not clear to that extent the NSA hacks people phones. I would imagine for most users they would have good access to our GPS data, e.g. via Google Maps? Edit: I'm assuming that GPS level precision is sufficient to start
