Yes, I wonder about this also. Wouldn't need to be toroidal - could just be spherical, but would need to wrap in a 4th spatial dimension. It would explain a lot of things, like the expansion not having a clear centre, the requirement

Also went down this rabbit hole. Did a review of the split keyboard UHK v2 which I highly recommend. https://youtu.be/OPmoB8-11JY Edit: Apologies for the video quality. PS: The UHK might be of interest to some who aren

Yes, I have recently stopped eating pigs for similar reasons. I live in the UK and was horrified to find they are killed by CO2 gas. I am lucky enough to experience breathing in my own CO2, and I can tell you that it feels like you'r

Lots of people asking about alternatives to Windows here. I've found Ubuntu-MATE to be very good for my needs. It uses the Ubuntu base which gives it access to the debian software repo as well as being a popular distro so often parti

As a long-time linux user, the MS teams linux client is woefully poor. It has ruined meetings for me by repeatedly losing the microphone. I use Windows more often for Teams meeting, and I'm not saying the Windows client is perfect in

Have a look at the adobe acrobat interface, I can't believe how complicated it is, and often comes up with prompts, side menus, adverts for other versions, and a tiny space to actually view your file.

You make a lot of assumptions here. Sometimes the answer is simple and people are not sexually compatible, were never good at having sex together and rushed into a long term relationship. I've seen this more in people who were furthe

This [1] here. Sadly, the maintainer has had enough. It still works for the latest minecraft I think. It runs so nicely on linux - far more processor efficient than the java version, and runs even better than bedrock on Win10. I'll

My father-in-law argues against climate change with both "we can't trust natural/historical temperature records" and "the earth has seen far more significant climate change than we're experiencing now".

Yes, a lot of us do this. My wife keeps telling me to read "mistake were made, but not by me", she says it's paradigm shifting, and helpful to allow you to spot this behaviour early.

Same here. There was talk a few years ago about Mojang open sourcing it, but clearly they went with the money. And now Microsoft are adamant to squeeze every bit of money and future custom from us.

We currently use the linux minecraft launcher which has worked pretty well up to now running bedrock on linux. It's the best bedrock experience, but this change is concerning.

Yes I've had some real issues with my dock (autocorrect there was not good). It's an AMD machine (so no thunderbolt), but had some real issues with an external monitor. Ethernet flaky at times and asymmetric connection speeds.

It's a very different language to imperative languages out there, so it's not surprising that an introductory course would be confusing. There are several ways to do things in R (for example subsetting data, or pulling out elemen

I love R, nothing better for data analysis, stats and plotting. However, if I was making software for other people to use, repeatedly, I would probably pick another language. The R language does have breaking changes, especially in common
