We use repo (from android) to put stuff together. The "manifest" repo will pull down the whole world and give you a single unified build system: https://github.com/membase/manifest That also gets you pretty well set up to use our

I tried out IFTTT (it tells me) three days ago. It's never run any of my tasks, though. I'd really like to see something awesome happen.

...we've lost our focus on the real problem. This isn't internic. It's just a company in a commodity market whose service and policies people seem to dislike, but are about as far from a monopoly as you can get. They are relevant because

I wouldn't recommend stopping there, but it's fine for starting. I haven't moved forward since I'm barely using my tech license and have too many hobbies anyway. :) I'm really pretty interested in learning CW, but haven't been able to d

aprsdroid is pretty nice. I've used it to test messaging when I'm RF only, and I've gated messages to the internet from my phone using the speaker and an HT. Glad to have it. :) I didn't know it was written in scala, though. That adds e

Get a technician license. Get a radio. Start playing around. I had one for about 10 years before finally just getting motivated to give APRS a shot. It was just slightly to get my radio actually hooked up to a computer via softmodem and

I've recently got a pretty decent APRS setup on 2 meter. There's a decent amount of activity around my house. There's a lot of APRS infrastructure, so things like internet gated messages in and out actually function. It's good to keep th

Our confidence in congress has been declining rapidly for years. Last month, a poll reported 9% of the population thought they were doing a good job. They literally don't have 10% to lose. They've learned that they can do anything they w

Interestingly, the few times I've used the android market web site from my web browser, I installed stuff on my phone. I should still be able to do that from a kindle should it be allowed.

I wish this were true. Those 1990s CD-ROMs were useful when I wasn't connected to a network. My iPad has 32GB of space (about 50 CD-ROMs), two cores each faster than any computer in the 1990s plenty of RAM, etc... It wants to be used like

"Ban" is probably not the right action, but I'd definitely like some action taken around my office. I've proposed some form of email tax by recipient. Like, you get 100 recipients per day free or something. Slow down and use them well. T
