You can disable the indexing of the whole GOPATH as of 2018.1 and it will finish indexing a whole lot faster. See Settings | Go | GOPATH | Index entire GOPATH.

IntelliJ is open-source as well and the Go plugin for it has been open-source for a long while as well :)

There are technical reasons for not doing that. Most important one being that it can do formatting on the fly and not have your cursor jump around when formatting. So your experience will actually be a whole lot better than any other editor

Try a different exit node, the website uses Cloudflare so if you could access HN you should be able to access that one as well.
