I disagree in one sense: Making it too boring will make the user spend time trying to find it. iOS/Android suffers from icon overload.

Immutable simply means there is no way to change the data once you are given the object. That does not mean the impl is a clone. In any case, ruby is really missing something as good as this. Very nice stuff. Wish that it did not require "n

Well said, good sir, well said. However it still goes to show that there is a disconnect between "popular" and "up and coming". The rules for Louis C.K. and up-and-coming comedians are quite different. He is a gorilla and can use his moment

I counter your point with the following: Theory and practice are more similar in theory as they are in practice. In THEORY flash is a cross platform tool to provide a uniform experience, and allow for rich content on all platforms. In PRACT

I must disagree. If history is any indicator, MS will fuck it up big time. TBH I do hope they succeed, it will be good for Apple to have REAL competition. I think of Windows on ARM as "iMS" or the "WinPad"

I cannot agree with the "lost trust" enough. MS lost trust with it's attempt to strange with IE. Honestly if IE was the only browser, I'd be ok, if it was a good browser. Only when people started doing everything in their power to avoid it

This is a lot of FUD style arguments please let me elaborate: a) Developing on windows is absolutely attrocious. If MS wants me to develop on windows, PUT SOME FUCKING EFFORT INTO IT. b) Developing for Chrome, I support ALL operating system

May I request that the arrow has a drop shadow too. I mean this is not exactly rocket science, but the drop shadow will be much tougher.

I'm just going to say this right now: Windows is the primary place where video games are pirated. If you make a game, it WILL be pirated. Hell even multiplayer will be pirated. End of story. So are all developers abandoning windows? HELLZ N

Flip side: wouldn't it be nice if everything you had just played well together? I don't see such rage when evernote is going to get the boot in osx 10.8.

Problem: I just moved away from DDG. I love it still but it's just not as accurate as google. Overall takes longer to find something. Every non-technical person I spoke to hates it because it's REALLY not accurate.

Don't forget, all that consent given in the TOS is pointless as nobody has time to read all the TOS they need to. I am in 100% support of this law. Even if it impacts my ability to analyze users.

This opens a whole stream of electronic warfare, however, the problem is that this will be writing programs that have no real-world usage. Except... These programs will be a great way to introduce both kids and adults to programming as lear

This is a good point. But my main point is: Being a developer (if you have the aptitude) you are pretty much guaranteed a decent salary, usually a good one. Playing video games and making cash is more of a pipe dream. Everyone would LOVE to
