Yeah, it doesn't seem like a smart business decision to me. It would just make sense to pursue this new revenue stream, and license out an API. This response just seems like more of an emotional response than a business strategy. Edit: Not

This is a really smart move. I started typing a huge write up why, but there are too many reasons why this free product/paid support model are good for both Oracle and their future clients.

Lol, yeah I remember seeing that article. It is kind of funny I use each browser for a different purpose. I develop for IE, develop in Firefox, and browse in Chrome.

I signed it, that only makes sense If the public is going to fund it, then they should be able to see the research. To be honest, I didn't even know that publicly funded research wasn't all public.

Not for me. (US) Domain: www.google.com Do you get directed to http://google.com.br/ or some other tld other than google.com? Both the .br and the .com tlds worked for me. Maybe there is something wrong with some of their their tlds.

I signed up, I figured it was worth a try. It executes server side code when the other code sandboxes like jsfiddle out there don't.
