pretty much…they have their own system prompts, you can customize the model, the tools they use, etc. CC has built in subagents (including at least one not listed) that work very well: https://code.claude.com/docs/en&#x

it seems to have changed a ton in recent versions too — I would love more details on what exactly I find it doing what I in the past had to interrupt and tell it to do fairly frequently now

there is the Gemini CLI, but I am aware of people doing exactly what you’re describing (which I find ridiculous but if it works it works I guess). some people have CLI tools for turning their entire repo into one big Markdown file or simila

maybe I’m just getting old, but I’m really tired of these [super popular product tons of people use but EVERYONE hates it] posts and comments. just quickly checking the Apple App Store, the Onedrive app has 4.7 stars does everyone hate it?

this is my constant take with “AI”…if you were lazy before, you’re lazy now. if you were producing slop before, you’re producing slop now I think this just widens the gap between people who give a shit and those who don’t the big thing that

you could just do that with Rust, right? you’re just saying cargo makes it too easy not to I’m very tempted to go this direction myself with Rust, vendoring in and “maintaining” (using Claude Code to maintain) dependencies. or writing subse

FWIW I would absolutely say “MIT is the default license”. I also understand copyleft and personally would still choose MIT in general I also like Rust, but the above would be true before I started using Rust (I agree it’s not a programming

it’s not made up (well all language is made up but I digress), you’re just being flagrantly ignorant of the terms you’re using and their history. you can easily go read up on open source vs source available and the history of the terms/
