I welcome the completion but surely Google could clone that. The real bet is that they won’t have the courage to do it.

Some of these questions may be borderline illegal. In my experience interviewing folks for Meta we are taught not to ask such questions because of the obvious bias. Even probing into what neighborhood someone lives in is dubious (oh you gre

It’s not even that, if I could save $1000 but I don’t care about $1000 I wouldn’t do it. I wouldn’t sit on hold for $10. A billionaire isn’t gonna sit on hold for $1000 unless they have an axe to grind.

Pretty much only used as a hack for sms character limit, or for making urls “prettier” when they get absurdly long with lots of parameters.

I don’t think the current tools are doing much to the creation of “art”, it’s mostly replacing run of the mill graphic design work like logos and ads and cover art, or maybe some higher end stuff like automating workflows.

Not quite because it’s almost backward with banks. Yes they take your deposits, but to the bank a deposit is a liability not an asset. Banks can lend out much more than their deposits (fractional reserve) but they technically don’t even nee

That’s fine but two points: - Most hourly jobs don’t have “pto” do they? - if more people want to take time off at Christmas/NYE than it takes to operate someone will have to work then, so closing is a nice option.

There are tons of pastel colored houses in SF and some of the surrounding towns. It’s nice to have some variety.

From what I’ve read the faults in the Bay Area can’t really generate above an 8.0, whereas the cascadia zone can produce much larger events (remember a 9.0 is 10x the intensity of 8.0). It has to do with the size and type of the faults.
