This feature is on ordinary cars too (sometimes called 'semi automatics') I actually have it on my car, there are paddles behind the steering wheel that can shift the gears up and down. It's a bit of a gimmick for ordinary dr

other option is to clone the repo but pipe the output to the terminal bell instead - probably not as good as the OPs solution but has a similar effect :) sudo tcpdump -n -l dst net 192.0.2.1/32 $(for a in $(cat goog-prefixes.txt

I think my car has it right, it does have a touch screen but there are tactile buttons for the common ancilliary controls (air con, hazard lights, shortcuts to navigation, radio, settings) underneath. To me it seems "why not both?"

Thanks, I searched the play store for both "papers please" and "papers, please" which didn't yield any meaningful results. If I hadn't have read this comment I would have (lazily) assumed it was iOS only. Play

I remember watching a thing from another ex-burglar who said dogs are a good deterrent but you can overcome them if you distract them with food, e.g. dropping a big bag of dog food all over the floor. He said it was a risky strategy though

EDIT: I think the use of the term "allocation" might be overloaded here from the original article, after thinking about this a bit more I think the author is referring to a different way of accessing the map. If you look in godbol

phrased that bit poorly, I meant "easilly accessible content for learning to drive" is leaps and bounds better than it was back then - with YouTube being the platform. Back then the best you would have got was some onerous DVD-ROM

I've played the game on and off a few times, it can be quite fun if you recognise the song within the first two. Today's was an unfortunate example of how not fun it can be though

I found it quite novel, checking in and then immediately going through security to your gate behind. A lot of airports are vast complexes and takes you a while to get from A - B, Tegel was quite quaint in comparison! Admittedly for a major&

I wouldn't bank on a 5th edition Pi any time soon. The supply chain issues for the pi4 have meant stock shortages for months on end and it probably won't let up. I'm guessing the Pico is a much simpler thing to make and in hi

Eh, the gaming industry and the amount of games you can play is so vast these days you can still play games without having to invest further amounts to progress. Yes there are loot box games and so on, but in reality they're a small su

I might be having rose tinted spectacles but I remember when Spotify first launched in the UK, maybe 2010. The app was _screaming fast_ in comparison to iTunes at the time, and I think it had a similar interface to itunes as well (although

One thing I really miss about the modern web is forums. I'm in my 30s now but grew up on the web, from 1998 - so not exactly an old timer but enough to ride the wave of web 1.0 -> 2.0. I made loads of friends on forums in those days

One note about the consoles. The Xbox Series X has two modes - Instant On (uses about 10-11W in standby) - Energy Saver (uses about 1-2W in standby) I think it defaults to "instant on" which is ludicrous. Energy saver mode is bet

I'm doing something similar although I don't think smart meters in the UK come with a debug port sadly - so I'm scraping a third party API instead. Wrote a small script to regularly ingest the data into SQLite, then use Grafa

How is the proxy contract tested - wouldn't you need to create a proxy-to-the-proxy contract just in case there is a bug and need to point it to the fixed version?
