I wish I could post the tweet where I said something like, "the beginning to the end of the twitter." That was right after their anti-developer community $hit. That's what happens when your in-house product team is insecure a

I say music/movies and you say humor/comedy. How's that any different? Cultural differences is not necessarily reflected thru language. Also, 7 >> 4. I win :)

I second this wholeheartedly. Unless you are specialized in some vertical with locally or nationally recognized skills, you are going to hit the ceiling. I'm not commanding 200-300K salary yet. But story is true for someone earning 150

Collaborative a.k.a Pair Programming is really neat. I've done that in patches and found it really interesting and insightful. But that was some 6yrs ago.

I'm probably going to get a lot of negative comments. I've a simple theory for compensation. First, pay me salary and bonus for my work that I deserve in a given market, for a set of skills and experiences I'll be bringing in

Probably unintuitive UX. I kept scrolling wanting to read something. But it kept changing graph and then suddenly text appeared.

Interesting story. Earlier today I was reflecting my own background. About 10yrs ago, I bootstrapped a project into a startup. Some of its highlights would be getting paid customers, iterating product (pivoting in 2002 lol) and getting seed

I've had mixed reaction to this take home exercise. I've done that some 4 times and 3 of them resulted in getting called in for an onsite (Amazon). If problem is interesting and there's something to learn. I tend to go for it

Proud cord cutter since 2008. Hi-Speed internet providers like Webpass with Hulu+, Netflix or Amazon Prime has more than enough content to satisfy your idiot box cravings. I used to be a netflix subscriber but then I moved to Hulu+. There s

Last time I checked I didn't see any farming in my local main street. Not sure to what extent technology from John Deere can be used for public vehicle. May be not much.

There are so many variables at play. Author is looking at it from a narrow window. I'd not blame him as this affects him personally. That said, what are some other variables? (1) Polyfill Disney is a global company and their mana

I second this. Sometime back I did Python for a production work. That for the first time gave me a true sense of Object-based inheritance v/s class based inheritance. Prior to that I used take JS way as-is. But wholeheartedly, may be n

I agree with your assessment. AR is more ubiquitous VR is more like SecondLife 2.0. Some of the engineering and design outcomes are noteworthy, but that's about it.
