I see the points you are making. Here's another way to look at it. If you care about an open source project, you don't want it to fail if you get run over or pulled away from it.

Fun. This looks like a systems dynamics model. Many useful models use differential equations, and there are many substrates to provide that kind of computation (springs, hydraulics, analog electronics, digital electronics). And now a slight

Transducers are part of cultural drive of the Clojure community to identify common patterns and simplify design. Rich's presentations do a nice job of explaining how a transducer is about separating [how to do the work] from [where the

There are interesting parts to the article, but the headline doesn't do it justice. > “Daddy? Why is water wet?” And the proper answer is: strong tetrahedral hydrogen bonding, which they then related to their teachers for years afte

I'm not sure how one writes an upbeat article about cleaning out an office. :) A career is (or at least should be) much more than artifacts left behind.

I'm concerned that the study may use "out of sample" reasoning in arriving at its virus population count estimate. Here is a snippet from the Quanta article showing some limitations of the sampling / collection methodolo

If the author says "transistor-level simulation" I would expect that to mean all transistors in the simulation are modeled. Is that true? Since they are nonlinear devices, doing so is relatively expensive computationally. If so, I

All I can say is that when I write code in Clojure (with higher-order functions), I reorganize code fairly often in these sorts of ways without thinking about the "name" for it (e.g. dependency injection or inversion of control).

While the BMW example is easy to pick on, I am skeptical that the book deserves to be a book. In my opinion, the best book is no book. I'm quite tired of books that are overgrown 1 page essays.
