Alpine executes system cron jobs (daily, weekly etc) from root's crontab. That simple way of taking care of it makes me smile every time I see it.

It might not be downloading but converting the model. Or if it's already downloading a properly formatted model file, deduping on disk which I hear it does. This also makes its model files on disk useless for other frontends.

They might want to push Privacy Pass with their own browser. It requires an extension on Chrome and Firefox.

EDIT time is over. I don't want to be misunderstood. I am not claiming to send MASS emails and having them delivered without issues or anything. If we have to do mass emails, they are done with services that provide the GUIs for them e

At 15+ years of hosting my own email through multiple IP changes this has not been my experience at all. Hosting your own legit email works fine.

Re mail deliverability. My experience so different than what you are saying that I take comments like this as regurgitating FUD at this point. Please do not do it. Even google is mostly OK with just spf or dkim. It really isn't that ha

Do you notice an increase in this usage lately? I see it a lot on reddit and hn. All romance languages probably have it by the way. I know Italian does for sure.

There's a new privacy focused entitlement proving thingy now. The first implementation is by cloudflare I believe but Kagi also just went live with it. The name escapes me at this mobile moment.

I didn't know snapper supported LVM. That is nice. OpenSUSE's installer probably doesn't support it with its snapper setup though. Default is / btrfs and allowing snapshots if the disk is big enough. (More than 30gb?)
