Well, they shouldn't. The point of polls is to predict who's going to win. It's not that hard to take into account Electoral College anyways.

That's really the problem. Republicans were trained over the years to pick someone "electable". They figured it would go better with the population, electoral votes. So in 2008, they went with McCain, a Republican who support
