Shall we just wait and see what Mozilla has to say? It's all very well playing devils advocate, but until both sides are known it's still supposition one way or the other. Unless you're involved somehow, that is.

For Mozilla's sake, I hope it was the design team they hired that did the knockoff rather than an inhouse designer. Although it's probably too early to jump to conclusions at this point.

Agreed. There is nothing wrong with protecting your work, just so long as that aspect is at no expense to your customer, and that's exactly what this is tailored to do. It's thoughtful, compassionate and convenient for everyone concerned. N

Firstly, sorry to hear about your health. I'd approach similar, established companies that would be interested in acquiring your tech, or could use it in some form. As a last resort you could also consider splitting it up and selling it off

The one thing Opera needs to do now is support it's userJS community, so many of Firefox's most popular extensions and plugins have been recreated for Opera, but few people know about them, making it somewhat of a deal breaker for many. Sad
