Quite. And what's to stop the 5 criminals from carrying guns as well? Pull a gun and get yourself killed in self defence. Great job, Captain America. This is why guns are a stupid thing to give to the public.

Interesting fact for the day: 75 million accounts is a new world record for information theft.

The thing about idea theft is all too often the person it was stolen from wouldn't have been able to make it work in the first place. And here, it seems, is a shining case in point.

Given the subject matter, I wouldn't pop this in the intelligent discourse pigeon hole, however your point is well taken.

The 20% figure that was "once read" about is pure fiction. Any up to date test figures reveal something closer to 99.8% of a 3 million sample testbase for the better AVs. It's all a bit moot though as before this happened, McAfee was probab

There isn't any competition for the ipad because it's a pretty yet aimless media toy. Everyone else is wrapped up in making something that has a clear and productive purpose with the perceived convenience of a touch screen.

Win7 is very good on a touch screen, assuming the screen is any good. I don't know what the HP front end is about, but it's not really necessary. It's not going for the same market either, it's more of a netbook sans keyboard than the iPad,

All this highlights is their complacency up until now. Competition should never have been the thing that stirred them into making a browser that wasn't dire, it should have been a matter of course. Imagine if they had to fight for operating

"Dead simple" it a common and pretty old (60's/70's?) term originating from North of the UK. There's probably a Brit there with an infectious turn of phrase. When I'm working with people in the US for an extended length of time, they inheri

Outcast had voxel grass, Worms 3D used voxels for destructible scenery, and most recently Crysis used voxels to create caves and such in the terrain. Although I'm pretty sure point sprites and voxels are two different things.

I use ZBrush to create displacement maps using HD geometry, which doesn't use actual polygons in the classic sense. A lot of the ultra high poly models you see on the turntables and such use the same technique. You can easily make a mesh we

I'm itching to find out what the modelling tools are like. At this point I doubt they would gel with many 3D artists. Programmer designed interfaces for creative tools are generally a pretty ropey affair. However, I'm certainly willing to a
