Yes! To me, the iPhone 4 was the pinnacle of phone design and useability. I'd love to have a modern phone with a decent camera in this form factor. AR, NFC, wireless charging are cool, but I don't really NEED them. A decent camera

Surviving in the wilderness for prolonged time is really, really hard. Even more so in a cold place like Siberia. Shows like Bear Grills are fun entertainment, but have little to do with actual survival. The show 'Alone' paints a

To be fair, I've never been so cold than on a windy September day in SF. I'm from The Netherlands and we get the occasional cold spell in the winter, but the cold wind coming from the bay on what seemed to be a very nice, sunny da

For all our 3 kids (youngest is 4 now), their favorite toys by far were either duplo (the electric train set is awesome!) or playmobil junior (not sure if they sell that in the US). Tangentially, these are also the only toys that survived t

In The Netherlands you can, as long as you comply with a number of rules (hours worked per year, number of clients, turnover). You have to send invoices, but can't charge VAT since you're not a business but a private person. I

I have 3 TP-Link EAP-245 access points, an Omada Cloud Controller and a simple 8-ports POE switch. The coverage and stability is up to par with the Unifi AP-AC-PRO and software is pretty good, also. I can highly recommend them: much lower p

Launching people into space is one thing, but to land them on the moon and get them back safely is infinately harder. 2024? Not going to happen, it's impossible.

Same here. I usually get 10-15 year old Japanese cars, and I'm fairly capable of identifying major flaws during a test ride. I spend 2500-3000 euros on the car, and another 500-1000 to get it sorted. Our last family car, a Mitsubishi G

Niland, a.k.a. 'Slab City' is a ghost town on the edge of the Salton Sea. People who live there are all outsiders who live in huts or RVs.

Yep. I'm Dutch, we've been converting sea to land since the early middle ages. Considering the technology at hand at that time, colonizing Mars is even somewhat comparable.

Our iPad 2 (bought new in 2011) is still being used on a daily basis by our kids. Battery life is still more than sufficient and it's not too slow to run some games, YouTube or Netflix. I think it's the longest we've done wit

To quote a well-known Dutch hotel/restaurant owner: "They'll eat me poor but drink me rich". The margin on the food may be thin, but drink margins are usually more like 75-100%.
