Yeah, I know some folks who would try to bully folks, so they blocked them. Then they would just try and get other folks to get pictures of tweets. Sigh.

I think the main issue they didn't do a distribution, they just asked a single question without a range from weekly to daily, etc. etc. Most folks were probably too shy to admit it as a regular thing, but also didn't have a somet

I'm now in IBM due to an acquisition. It definitely is a company that can't do anything due to bureaucracy / random bullshit. You quickly understand why they acquire rather than invent.

Yeah, I wouldn't take the score too seriously. Nothing about various types of abuse beyond some random measures. I think it's just a quick heuristic, nothing scientific.

ACE score of 8. I'm mildly satisfied, depends on the day. Similar thing with ADHD, also with sleep apnea (severe, 79 AHI, untreated till final year of college, which made things much better :)). Probably autistic, if you ask anyone c

5) Don't forget the massive rise in tuition. My brother went to college a few years before me, and by the time I got there (born before 1990), the price was double what it was his first year. It was only 2 years of increases. 6) Only

I also never find it convincing that these sort of articles are written by folks well above a middle class standard of living.

I think it can be abused like anything else (copy paste from stack overflow until it works). But for folks who are going to be successful with or without it, it's a godsend in terms of being able to essentially ask stack overflow quest

When companies dominate a market, even with a few competitors, collusion and price gouging often follow. Weak antitrust enforcement has enabled these practices, limiting competition, inflating prices, and stifling innovation. This not only

I've actually gotten much better service in places like Australia / Japan where tips aren't a thing. From my understanding, poor people are often the best tippers in the USA, and rich folks tend to not tip.

My experience on all platforms is things have rapidly become slop. Quora, Facebook, Twitter, Threads. They all have a weird issue of random softcore sex stuff. I have nothing against sex content, but I do wish we could just click a button

So a lot of astronomy is based on the principle that we are not in a special pocket of the universe. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmological_principle Basically, if this weren't to hold true, a lot of astro

I would be okay with this, but mostly because I had no inheritance. I'm one of those being forced to help my parents with their terrible choices, as well as my partner support her family (4 other siblings with no support structure).

I don't agree with the above statement entirely, but I do think generational wealth transfer shouldn't be as relied upon as much as it is. I don't think it's maintainable for a society long-term. Not that I don't un

Yep, people also still like to say minimum wage increases will cause inflation despite things inflating just fine without it. Sigh. Higher local wages means more money in the local economy versus money getting pulled out to somewhere else.
