Yes, it's down for me as well. Good thing I had just finished writing a super long comment, because it went down right after my second comment.

We've deviated from the OP, but I wanted to mention that this is why react-table and react-query bother me endlessly.

While this is cool, for Node.js there's something far better: https://stackblitz.com/ . This is one of the more impressive IDE in browser experiences I've had. Comes complete with a terminal and a shim around `npm`

I definitely understand the reaction. This is an existential threat to Remix. However, this is why I don't use Twitter. Remix is not just "an open-source project", it's a full-fledged company. This is definitely not the

Naw, I don't agree. SSG is a killer feature. The fact that Next.js is able to do both SSG and SSR means that it's positioned to be a wholesale replacement for most React tech stacks. You can still have a "CSR-like" app w

It's almost an exact copy aside from the conventions and names. It very much _is_ Remix. This is pretty wild. It also brings one of my gripes from Remix: parallel fetching. In practice it makes sense, but at times there needs to be a w

Super cool. I'm gonna give Fastify a shot next time I'm in Node.js land. Thanks!

I haven't been following the Node ecosystem closely. However Fastify is really interesting. Why choose Fastify over Koa? I've never understood why Koa gets so little love from the Node.js community.

Interviewed recently with a startup that said they're moving from Hapi over to Nest. Lol... maybe it's for the best things didn't work out.

Yeah this was really lame. I had to go on Hacker News to figure out what was changing. Why do companies do crap like this? Does DigitalOcean realize there are other companies that are eating their lunch right now? Like, I'm less mad ab

Have you not seen their content lately? I wouldn't say it's woke propaganda, but a lot of their content is clearly trying to tick the diversity boxes.

I think using Svelte was a mistake. That being said, I'm pretty impressed with the effort here. Looking forward to seeing how this framework evolves. Cheers.

I agree that just JavaScript is okay for simple applications. In fact I didn't use TypeScript for a really long time because getting the tooling going can be cumbersome at first. TypeScript shines with complex webapps. Having the typin

One of those is not like the other. JavaScript and TypeScript are almost interoperable. You don't have to relearn the semantics of the language to use a JavaScript library in TypeScript. It's is an extremely light superset compare

Yes, it absolutely is. The few times I did work with Elixir I came across a few instances where I had to use libraries that had not been ported over to Elixir yet so I had to deal with Erlang. It wasn't fun. That being said, I think it

Yeah I had an argument on here about callbacks vs. Promises. I’m pretty convinced the ones making the pro callbacks arguments have never actually used JavaScript in a professional capacity, especially in large codebases. I thought the callb

This is actually really cool! Any chance you can point me to an implementation for JSON-RPC? I'm interested to see the benefits with JSON-RPC over a traditional REST API.
