Thanks for sharing this. I have to admit, this is an absurd amount of code for a todo app. Is there a specific goal you had in mind when creating this? Are you trying to show the capabilities of SSR (or maybe Redux)?

Yep, you nailed it. I've been looking at low-JS and vanilla JS again recently given the amount of hype around these kinds of frameworks (and the perceived maturity of the browser). It still has the same problems you describe. You worde

I gotta say, if you need another tool to make your tool somewhat usable, that tool probably isn't very good in the first place? Lol

I definitely feel this a bit. I had to onboard onto Ruby and Rails recently and I truly hate it. That being said, the reason why it wasn't an absolute nightmare for me is because I have good foundational skills and I genuinely enjoy so

I didn't realize the UI I designed for Gremlin was a TODO app. https://www.gremlin.com/ I made it in 2017 and it's still in use today.

I think you're seriously underestimating Heroku's competition here.

I'm not sure you realize just how quickly that can all go away (and does). Blockchain companies are a dime a dozen. They don't all last forever.

I think you're overreacting (and I think the comments here are overly negative). Web tooling is better than ever. I can very quickly spin up a full-fledged production grade app with very little investment. I don't worry about bloc

I didn't even notice... 1Password is great. There are some minor issues here and there but it always feels like they very quickly patch it up.

Nowadays there are many solutions that aren't AWS. Render, Porter, Fly.io to name a few.

I love this. I'm going to try using this going forward. Edit: I just added this into my editor but it's not highlighted by default. I wonder if there's a way to highlight it.

This article should get unflagged. This is an eloquently written article and a good discussion about Golang. I think we need more articles critical of Golang. Edit: I'm really shocked by the downvotes. Can someone explain why my commen

I'm going to sound very elitist, but there is 0 chance I'm going to use Java. Aside from my own bad experiences with Java in a professional setting, .NET Core is now a thing, and I'm actually very experienced with C#, so I&#x

I liked the article. I think it was really well written and these are great points. So if not Go, then what's the alternative? I too am starting to feel a bit burnt out by some of Go's deficiencies, but one of the things I really

I’ve had none of these issues. `tsc` should work for you out of the box. It also uses Rollup for bundling, so there is no reason you can’t build production packages with it.

I've been trying Deno on a personal project and it keeps impressing me more and more. If Deno continues to improve like this, I can see it being the future of JavaScript development. This might go against the grain nowadays, but I'

This actually bit me multiple times. I started leaking server-side code to the client, which completely turned me off. Also I've been in several arguments with Remix community members as to why middleware is necessary for server-side f
